Senior Director, IT PD&L Technical Services & Operations
As a Senior Director of IT Product Development & Launch (PD&L) Systems & Operations at Adient (previously known as Johnson Controls Automotive Seating division), Ram is responsible for PD&L IT systems across their global facilities in the Americas, Europe, China and Asia Pacific. He has over 24 years of experience in Engineering IT Management.
He has led geographically distributed teams to develop and implement CAD, PDM/PLM, Global Data Exchange, Data Security, Data Quality, and large-scale IT change / best practices and tools development at Adient.
He is a Steering committee member of Global Automotive Industry Action Groups (like AIAG, GALIA, VDA, and SASIG) leading projects like Model Based Enterprise, Systems Engineering, and Lean Product Development. In this capacity, he works with software vendors (like Dassault, Siemens, Autodesk, and PTC) on Product Development, PLM, Collaboration, Visualization, Digital Engineering and Digital Manufacturing.
Jennifer Herron is the CEO of Action Engineering, a registered Women-Owned Small Business. She serves on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as chair of the ASME Y14.46 Subcommittee on Product Definition for Additive Manufacturing. Additionally, Ms. Herron is a committee member of ASME Y14.47 Digital Product Definition Data: Model Organization Schema Practices, and ASME Y14.37 Composite Part Drawings.
Ms. Herron has extensive experience with hardware design, spacecraft flight hardware mechanisms and structures, large deployed radiators, ground robotics, and spacecraft layout. Ms. Herron regularly gives public seminars and consults on model-based topics and leads in-house CAD based training. She is an expert in multiple CAD packages, such as Creo, NX, and SOLIDWORKS. In addition to her involvement on many flight satellite systems, Ms. Herron has designed military robot platforms and has a patent for a snake propulsion mechanism. She is the author of Re-Use Your CAD: The Model-Based CAD Handbook, published in 2013.
HPS Cad Team Leader & Global CAD/PLM Trainer
As Senior Designer/HPS Team leader & Global CAD/PLM Trainer at Nexteer Automotive, Scott is responsible for CAD operations for the HPS group servicing 12 product engineers within the team.
With over 25 years of experience in the automotive field, Scott is well versed in many CAD platforms especially NX and Catia. In addition to his HPS responsibilities, he also works with all other groups within the Nexteer Product CAD operations on an as needed basis when fixing any issues within the product CAD groups.
Scott has made several trips to Asia and Europe to aid in teaching and mentoring new CAD employees within the regions for Nexteer Automotive. Scott has been part of the PLM Core Team within Nexteer Automotive since it’s conception in 2012. Being part of the PLM Core Team, he and his core team members have worked countless hours building and structuring Nexteer’s PLM operations across the globe.

BC Engineering and Design, LLC, owner and senior engineer, Brian A. Christiano, P.E., is a “hands-on” licensed Professional Engineer. He has provided mechanical engineering design and metrology support to major government contractors based in Charleston, South Carolina, as well as commercial and industrial clients throughout the United States and overseas since 1997.Mr. Christiano is a retired U.S. Navy submarine officer, having served on both diesel-electric attack and nuclear ballistic missile submarines. He served on shore tours including U.S. Navy Submarine Force Atlantic Fleet staff in attack submarine operations, through which he became familiar with all aspects of submarine and shipboard communications systems. He earned both his silver and gold dolphins designating him “qualified in submarines” and served as a Strategic Weapons Officer, Department Head, on board nuclear missile submarines. He is certified to work in commercial nuclear power plant, containment area environments.
His Navy training includes U.S. Navy nuclear power school, Basic Electricity and Electronics, Interior Communications “A” school, Submarine Enlisted and Officer Basic Courses, Submarine Officer Advance Course, Submarine Strategic Weapons Officer Course, U.S. Navy Mine Planning course, and numerous equipment specialty courses.
He is a 1980 graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina in 2005.
He has taught several Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering courses as an adjunct professor of engineering at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina.
Mr. Christiano was a guest presenter at the 2014 3D Documentation Conference held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resort in Orlando, Florida. The subject of his presentation was “Using 3D Laser Scanning in Limited or Restricted Access Environments”.
Mr. Christiano is a qualified private pilot and holds an instrument rating in single engine high performance aircraft. For relaxation he plays three musical instruments and is an accomplished vocalist. He has performed with various bluegrass, country, and rock bands.
Chief Marketing Officer
Greaves is chief marketing officer at DotProduct. With seed funding from Intel Capital and others, DotProduct provides handheld 3D reality capture solutions for engineering, construction and manufacturing. Greaves is the founder of the SPAR conferences on 3D imaging. Previously he served as a market analyst for Daratech, a CAD/CAM/CAE research firm and before that was a wireline engineer for Schlumberger in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Oman.
